Nancy Thomas Barnett Send Condolences
Nancy Thomas Barnett, 58, of Poca, passed away at home on Thursday, August 09, 2012 after a long illness.
Nancy was a lifelong resident of Poca, attended WV State College, and was a former assistant manager of the Go-Mart in St. Albans. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Margaret Thomas.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her lifelong companion Charles “Chuck” Cartwright, children Charles Barnett, Jr. and wife Linda of St. Albans, Sean Barnett and wife Chasidy of Eleanor, Michelle Gibson of Winfield, her sisters Karen Hackett of Poca and Linda Childress of Nitro, her brothers Steve Thomas and David Thomas both of Poca, her grandchildren Rebecca, Cameron, Blake, Ian, Abbigail, and great-granddaughter Anna Claire. Nancy is also survived by other relatives and a host of friends.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Cooke Funeral Home, 2002 20th St., Nitro, with Rev. Ray Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Cartwright Cemetery, Poca. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Thomas Memorial Health Care and all the friends and neighbors that helped with her care.
