Forrest William White Send Condolences
Forrest William White, age 77, of St. Albans West Virginia, passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House West, in South Charleston West Virginia, on July 28, 2012, after a long illness.
Funeral services are private and limited to, immediate family and close neighbors. The service will be held at Tyler Mountain Memorial Garden.
Chaplin, Pete Thompson, of Hospice will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cooke Funeral Home and Crematorium in Nitro West Virginia.
Forrest was born in Nallan, West Virginia on November 28, 1934. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951, serving over twenty-four years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1974. He proudly served in Germany during the reconstruction after World War II and during the Korea conflict. Forrest worked for the State of West Virginia in Finance and Administration until he retired in April of 1994.
Forrest enjoyed computers, reading; star gazing, talks with his neighbors, and spending lots of time with his family.
Forrest was married to Patricia Ann Rowe on October 22, 1955; they were married almost fifty seven years.
Forrest is survived by his wife Patricia and six children: William and wife Kathryn White, Brenda and husband Don Brogan, Harlan and wife Sharon White, Judith and husband Gary Ballard, Michael and wife Ann White, James White and Forrest’s sisters: Nora May (Nonie) Christian and Maretta (Rita) Burns and beloved cat, Kitt-Kitt.
Forrest has thirteen grandchildren and seven great grand children.
Forrest is preceded in death by his father Carl White and his mother Ina White.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to HospiceCare 1606 Kanawha Blvd. West Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
