Daisy C. Martin Send Condolences
Daisy Cleo Roberts Nelson Martin, 90, of Rand passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at CAMC General Division.
She was a Christian, and attended Farrar Memorial Baptist Church, Rand.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Lee Nelson and William Martin; son, Harvey Nelson; daughter, Gidget Keenan; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughters, Hazel (David) Willoughby of Uniontown, Ohio, Lola Walters of St. Albans and Janice Cottrell of Charleston; sister, Audrey (Dave) Vincell of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who will miss her beautiful blue eyes, sweet smile and tender voice.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 600 Old Fort St., Cedar Grove, with Pastor Jack Tucker officiating. Burial will follow the service in Collins Ridge Cemetery (Beartown Mountain), Paynesville, McDowell County.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the team of doctors and nurses in the MICU Unit at CAMC General Division, Charleston who took such good care of our mother during her last illness. The family would also like to thank Dr. Thopsie V. Jagannath for his loving care of our mother; he was her favorite doctor.
