Elaine Davis Send Condolences
Elaine Davis, 62, of Dawes passed away in the peace and comfort of Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a full, happy life on July 12, 2010.
Born on May 29, 1948, in Dawes, she was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Christine (Priddy) Petry; brother, James Petry; and sister, Linda Pitt.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leland Davis; daughters, Denise Green of Dawes, Anna Thompson of Ronda and Jennifer Crowder and husband, Bryan, of Campbells Creek; brother, Richard Stanley and wife, June, of Weidman, Mich.; five grandchildren, Natasha Wolfe and husband, Wayne, Pamela Johnson and husband, Jeremy, Dakota Pack and Luke and Tanner Crowder; and five great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Bill, Jaxson Johnson, Zander, Levi and Gracie Wolfe, all of whom she loved dearly.
At her request, she will be cremated.
A gathering of family and friends honoring her life will be held at her home on Sunday, July 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Dawes.
The family wishes to thank the multitude of people who offered prayers, comfort and sympathy to Elaine and family. Special thanks go to the workers at Hubbard Hospice House for their diligent efforts to provide peace and comfort to Elaine and family.
