Frankie Capocefalo          Send Condolences

Frankie Tilbury Capocefalo, 85, of Cross Lanes passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Lanes Baptist Church.

Frankie and her husband Quentin “Cappy” Capocefalo founded the West Virginia Chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. She was appointed by Governor Underwood to the West Virginia Mental Health Advisory Council. Frankie served on many mental health boards and councils through out the state of West Virginia. It was her life's work and her passion. She was a recipient of the Jefferson Award for her volunteer work for the mentally ill. She was a member of the Silver-Haired Legislature and a longtime member of the Women's Club of Cross Lanes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin “Cappy” Capocefalo; son, Robert M. Capocefalo; and brother, Melvin Tilbury.

Surviving: son, John Capocefalo and his wife, Jeanette, of Winfield; daughter, Janine Capocefalo of Cross Lanes; sister, Joan Cherrington of Williamsport, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
