E. Wayne Simmons Send Condolences
Everett Wayne Simmons, 61, of Eleanor passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, in Winter Springs, Fla., after an apparent heart attack.
Wayne was a graduate of Nitro High School and lived most of his life in West Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a former truck driver for Dana Transport. He was a former member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Wheeler Simmons; and sister, Cindy Humphreys.
Surviving: son, Andrew Simmons of Eleanor; daughter, Alicia “Cookie” McCarty of Apple Grove; mother, Elsie Simmons of Nitro; brother, Vence Simmons of Winter Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Daphne and Gabriel; and special friend, Tiger the cat.
