James K. Daniels Send Condolences
James Kenneth Daniels, 81, of Nitro passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House January 23, 2010, with his loving family by his side.
He was retired from Appalachian Power Company after 40 years of service.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and James Harold Daniels; and brothers, Harold Ray, John Estel, Donald and Jackie Daniels.
He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta, with whom he celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary on December 31, 2009; daughter, Donna and her husband, Stephen Verdier of Alexandria, Va.; son, James David Daniels and his wife, Jane, of Winfield; and six grandchildren, James Martin and Mary Caitlin Verdier and David Coty, Jessie Kathleen, Amy Nicole, Bradley Zane Daniels. Also surviving are sisters, Lou King of Georgia and Kay Skeen of Florida; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
At Ken's request, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their appreciation of the staff at Hubbard Hospice House and Pastors Gordon Ford and Pete Thompson.
