Virginia Y. Bowe Send Condolences
Virginia Y. Bowe, 71, of Shrewsbury passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Virginia was a homemaker and former bookkeeper for Turnpike Ford at Marmet. She was a member and former clerk/treasurer for the Shrewsbury Church of God. Virginia was also Past Grand Chief of the WV Pythian sisters.
Surviving are husband, Donnie Bowe, at home; sons, Donnie A. of Cabin Creek and Richard W. of Pond Gap; daughter, Donna Y. Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Sarah Jarrett of Cabin Creek; sisters, Betty Jean Smith of Brunswick, Ga., and Joyce Faye Halstead of Cabin Creek; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no service or visitation. The body was cremated and the interment of the ashes will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Glasgow, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Physical Therapy and Activities Department of the Golden Living Center, P.O. Box 350, Glasgow, WV 25086.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center, Glasgow, for their help in the family's time of need.
