Pauline E. Tucker Send Condolences

Pauline E. Tucker, 83, of Hugheston departed for her heavenly home on Monday, January 11, 2010, at a Charleston Area Medical Center hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Ward on March 16, 1926, to Herman and Melda (Akers) Buckley. She married Charles A. Tucker on June 6, 1947, and moved to Hugheston.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, John Herman Buckley Jr., Samuel "Hoppy” Buckley and Fred "Pow Wow" Buckley; and nephew, Carl Thomas Buckley Jr.
Pauline was a member of Hughes Creek Community Church for 62 years, where she was youth director and a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She graduated from East Bank High School in the class of 1943, where she was a member of the girls' basketball team. She was employed by Valley Camp Stores and the State Road Commission prior to the birth of her only son, Charles Allen Tucker II. She was a faithful fan of West Virginia University sports.
Pauline is survived by her son, Charles II; the absolute love of her life, grandson, Charles Allen Tucker III; sisters, Goldie Sue Farley of Dunbar, with whom she made her home part time the past year, and Rosenia Olson and her husband, David, of Mauldin, South Carolina; brothers, Billy Joe Buckley and wife, Toshi, of Twenty Nine Palms, California, Carl Thomas Buckley and his wife, Jeanie, of Greenville, Rhode Island, and Robert "Bob" Buckley and his wife, Sally, of Dublin, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Buckley of Glasgow and Francine Buckley of Seattle, Washington; brothers-in-law, Okey Tucker and his wife, Patsy, of Smithers and Sterling Tucker of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews whom she treasured; and other extended family and friends.
Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Pauline to the Hughes Creek Community Church Youth Group.
