Naomi F. Toler Send Condolences

Naomi Frances Toler, 85, passed on to a better place Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, to be with her Heavenly Father.
Loved ones there to greet her were her mother and father, Ferd and Lavanna Barger Shamblen; husband, Allen A. Toler; daughter, Patsy Toler; sister, Eleanor Maynor; and brothers, Ronnie and Eddie Shamblen.
She was a 27-year survivor of breast cancer, although an extremely short illness with lung and liver cancer took her from her family.
Naomi was a leap year baby, born Feb. 29, 1924, and raised in Kanawha County. She lived most of her life in Mammoth. She was a 1941 graduate of East Bank High School. She was a Christian, baptized in the Advent Christian faith. She was retired with 20 years of service with the West Virginia State Hygienic Laboratory in South Charleston.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, David “Danny” and Donna Toler of Clinton Township, Mich., Karen and Charles “Eddie” Wilkinson of Charleston, and Allen “Lee” and Debbie Toler of Shallotte, N.C. grandchildren and their spouses are, David Toler and companion, Alice, Allen “Bubby” Toler, Johnny and Becky Wilkinson, Kevin Toler and companion, Gabrielle, Jenine and Tommy Hackney, Amanda and Tony Stillwell, and Allison and Ricky Sears. Great-grandchildren are Hilary Hackney, Brandon and Savannah Wilkinson, Caleb Stillwell and Alyssa Toler.
Surviving siblings are Helen Green of Mammoth, Junior Shamblen of Elkhart, Ind., Jimmy Shamblen of Palm Bay, Fla., Ray Shamblen of Burning Springs and Doug Shamblen of Fredericksburg, Va.
She will be missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure - she will forever be our treasure.
