Agnes “Aggie” Raynes, 85, of Nitro passed away Friday October 9, 2009, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Aggie was a former employee of Union Carbide Institute Plant with over 35 years of service working in the Lab. She was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Nitro, and attended the Temple Baptist Church in Titusville, Fla., for the 20 years she was a resident in Florida.

Aggie was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Katie Bowles Honaker; sister and brother-in-law, Jinnie and Jim Hartley; and brother-in-law, Cecil Crews.

Surviving are loving husband of 62 years, James L. “Jim “ Raynes, at home; daughter, Bobbie Glock of South Charleston; grandson, Ryan Glock of Nitro; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hailey, and Abygail; sister, Jewell Crews of Nitro; brother, Arnold Honaker and wife Brenda of Titusville, Fla.; and several special nieces and nephews.



Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1111 East Lee Street, Charleston, WV or to the American Diabetes Association, Dunbar, WV 25064.
