Judith M. Young Send Condolences

Judith Marie (Ward) Young, 57, of Charleston formerly of Hugheston, was killed Sunday, October 04, 2009, due to injuries received during a motorcycle accident. Judy was a Registered Nurse at CAMC General’s 5-south. She was a free spirit who loved life. She enjoyed music, two-stepping, and recently fell in love with motorcycle riding and the open road. She loved her family, her Great Dane Delilah, and her pink lipstick. Her spitfire attitude, sense of humor, smile, and take charge attitude will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. young; father, Donald E. Ward; sister, Tina Ward; grandmothers’ Rosetta Ward and Marie Sizemore; nieces, Crystal Hudson, and Jody Hackworth Artis; nephew, Nathan Ward; and great-nephew, Tyler Artis
She is survived by her mother, Martha Ward of Hugheston; daughters, April Keenan and husband James of Hugheston and Christina Johnson and husband Andy of Riverside; son, Roger A. Young of Charleston; brothers, Donald W. Ward and wife Kim of Fredrick, MD and Thomas Ward Sr. and wife Jean of Charleston; sisters, Patricia Ward and Kermit Lanham of Hugheston, Bobbette Gay and husband Richard of Hugheston, Sherri Keeney and husband Floyd of Boomer, and Christy Whited and husband John of Edmond, OK; four grandchildren, Alex and Jordan Keenan and Sydney and Emily Johnson; aunt, Blondell Young and husband Ivan of Wadsworth, OH, dear friend Mark Green of Supply, NC; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who love her dearly.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the paramedics, volunteer fire fighters, sheriff deputies, and witnesses who were at the accident scene for treating our mother and our family with dignity and compassion during this very difficult time.
