Ralph G. Roark Send Condolences

Ralph G. “Ray” Roark, 79, of Cedar Grove passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at CAMC General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy L. Roark; parents, Charlie and Emma; brothers, James, Dillard, Bruce, Raleigh, and Delmer Roark; and a sister-in-law, Helma Cochran.
He was a retired coal miner from Valley Camp Coal Company at Shrewsbury. He was a superintendent for Woodland Cemetery in Cedar Grove, a member of the board of directors of Virginia's Chapel, and a member of Midland Trail Scenic Highway. He was a frequent visitor of the “Liar's Bench” in Cedar Grove.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who is survived by his wife Delores “Jeannie” Proctor Roark; son, Charles “Glenn” and wife, Theresa Roark; grandchildren, Kayleigh and Jacob; brothers, Frank, Fred, and Jay-C; sister, Thelma; brother-in-law, Keith and wife, Peggy Proctor; and a special nephew, Lawrence Roark. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at Virginia's Chapel “Old Brick Church”, Cedar Grove, with the Rev. John Massey officiating. At Ray's request, his body was donated to WVU, Morgantown, for medical science.
Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Cedar Grove, at a later date.
