Mark Allen Gray, 27, of Belle departed this life Tuesday, July 28, 2009.

He was a heavy equipment operator in the mining industry and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. He was a member of The City of Hope in Belle.

He was a loving husband, son, and father. He loved working with the kids in youth ministry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved animals. He was a very loving, compassionate young man who will be sadly missed by all. He was a 2000 graduate of Riverside High School.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Peggy and Leonard Brown; and his uncle, Bernard “Fats” Confere.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly S. McCarty Gray; mother, Jeannie Brown Gray of Glasgow; daughter, Courtney Parks of Belle; mother-in-law, Betty L. Ferrell of Belle; and aunts and uncles, Carolyn Confere of Glasgow, Patty and Gary Holdren of London, and Betty and Charles Riddle of Kimberly. He is also survived by first cousins, Chris Hamrick of Charleston, Robert and Kim Brogan of Hugheston, David and Sarah Hamrick of Cross Lanes, Janie Hamrick of Dunbar, Krista Clark of Glasgow, and Michael, Travis and Timmie Brogan, all of Hugheston.
